A very country blanket chest in red paint.  Nicely scalloped apron and possibly original hardware.  Pine and poplar construction with dovetailed drawers.  First quarter of the 19th century.  New England or New York origin.  Height: 43 1/2".  Case width: 37 1/2".  Case depth: 17 1/2".

Child' rocking chair.  This chair is in excellent condition.  It is very nicely turned.  The scribe marks are intact and there is just a little red wash remaining on the back.   Also, there is a date of  "11-73" and "36" so I have a feeling the rockers were replaced then and it was probably stripped at the same time.   Nonetheless, it is mostly maple with oak rockers.  The seat is in very good condition but probably a replacement.  I would think it's Ca. 1820-1840.  22 3/4" H X  12 1/2" W X 11" D.  Seat: 12" W X 11" D.  Rockers are 23" L.  Sweet.

A pair of 19th century fancy chairs.

Shaker #7 arm chair rocker in black paint.  Possibly Mt. Lebanon, N.Y.  19th century.

Drop leaf breakfast table with wide one board top, dovetailed drawer, reeded legs, and original brass casters.  Nicely grained mahogany.  I have been told of a NYC cabinetmaker attribution for this table but I find that suspect.  Probably New York.  19th century.

Maple chest on chest with pine secondary.  Dovetailed throughout.  Top retains original brasses; appropriate brasses on the base.  The proportions are excellent.  When I purchased it, there was no finish, thus the present shellac finish.  This chest probably originated in Massachusetts or New Hampshire.  Circa 1780-1800.  42" wide X 20" deep X 72" high.

Chair or 'hutch' table.  The round top is of pine and the base is maple or birch.  Some time ago, someone added a red wash and finish.  Probably New Hampshire origin.  Ca. 1830-1850.  Top 48" round.  30" table height.
