In anticipation of the virtual Vermont Antiques Dealers show, we have opened up an Instagram account where you can shop during the show, or before. We're still feeling our way but hope to be fully operational by October 1. Look for us under #davidmweissantiques. We're on Facebook too!

After a 1 1/2 year battle with hemangiosarcoma, we are very sad to report that we have lost our oldest boy Bullet. He lived a full life with us and we will miss him terribly.

Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news. We were very excited to be going back to Vermont to participate in the Vermont Antiques Dealers Show this fall. Due to the COVID-19 issue, however, the show will turn to an online format. While this is new to us, we are still anticipating a fun event under the circumstances. Stay tuned!

I will be adding some different small things to the "New Items" page soon. I also am going to be adding a new page but I haven't finalized the title yet. Stay tuned! We hope you'll please follow us on Facebook at David M. Weiss Antiques!

The COVID-19 pandemic is upon us. We are abiding the suggested rules and staying at home when we can. I am still at work as my company is a DOD supplier. Fortunately, I am down to a 4-day week which gives me a little free time to do an update. I will be slowly adding prices to the pieces here. I feel that the old way of business is not right for 2020. Stay tuned as this may take a while.

Greetings! Thanksgiving is upon us and we have been thinking about a good friend we have just lost. We spent the last 35-40 years enjoying our Thanksgiving holiday with her and her husband, so this year will be a bittersweet reunion. It also has us thinking about life and how we go through it. This significant loss shows how fragile we are. It's time to Carpe Diem. I hope it also means that we will get to devote more time to this business and improve our selection. Hopefully, it will again be as rewarding as it used to be.

Happy New Year! As we head into the dead of winter here in the Berkshires, we have some news to report. As of January 2, I have taken on a new position within my company. In addition to running the rail heating program, which I have been doing now for almost 14 years, I have taken on the position of Quality Manager. I really enjoy working for this company but this is such an important job within the industry, I fear I will have little time in future months to concentrate on antiques, and that is with a three hours round trip commute. The company manufactures for aerospace and military so each and every piece that ships is critical to the success of each indiviual assembly it goes into. I will really have to be on my game at all times!
Sadly, we have to report that our Bullet was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma in September of 2018. At that time, our vet suggested a Chinese herbal suppliment called Yunnan Baiyao to help with blood clotting. So instead of saying good bye in September, we have had four great months with him and his quality of life is unchanged. We know what's ahead but we give him lots of special attention and he does whatever he wants.
We look forward to your inquiries and will get back to you within 24-48 hours.
It's been a crazy year for us. We have been working long hours and the antiques part of our lives has been neglected a little. We have some nice new items which we hope to get on here if it would only stop raining so we could have some light for pictures! There's also some fun news: we have added Judge to our family! Judge is Laser's son and he is a handful. He's growing quickly and has taken up even more of our free time. You'll see more of him as we update, which will hopefully be more often as we go into the cold months.
It seems like forever since I last updated. As we continue to deal with circumstances outside the antiques world, we try not to lose touch with the industry and even be active once in a while.

Today's update comes with the first snow of the year. The dogs love it but we would rather be on a beach somewhere. Both Barbara and myself have settled into positions with new companies. It has been a tough stretch and not without cost to business and home life. We have new routines and locations so the adjustment is slow. I'm not thrilled with driving 120 miles per day either! I added a few new items today and I may put some others on tomorrow if I find a few mintes. Enjoy!

After many years, we have finally linked onto the Facebook site. We'll be putting some first time viewed items on there so be sure to 'Like' and 'Follow' us!

We enjoyed our feature in the February 2016 issue of the Maine Antique Digest. Hopefully, we can get back into the business a little more as time allows.
