Stoneware jug with tulip. Early 19th century. Unsigned. Reference: Skinner sale #2195, Lot #459, November 2002. Provenance: Waasdorp American Pottery Auction. 13 5/8"H X 9 1/2"W
This is a very fine pair of covered glass candy dishes. They have excellent etching of grape vines covering the surfaces of both the bases and covers. There is a very small nick on the base of one cover, otherwise they are perfect. They are probably Pittsbugh glass and made in the early 19th century. They measure 12 ¼” top the top of the finial and 6” across.
This is an exceptional amethyst candlestick in hexagonal form. It is from the New England Glass Company, Sandwich, MA., and dates to around 1850. There are 3 minor imperfections at the base. It measures 7 1/8” H X 4” across at the base. Provenance: David Good collection.
Etched sterling match safe. It is nicely detailed with a monogram. Probably early 20th century. 1 3/4" X 1 1/4".
A nice large size oval bentwood box in excellent surface. It has rose head nails and is in outstanding condition. It dates to early 19th century. The size is 15” L X 11 ¾” W X 6” H
Late 19th to early 20th century stationary handle, footed basket. It has great color and is in fine condition. 8” W X 9” H
Taghkonic basket in nice old color & surface. There is a minor single strip 2 1/2" void. Early 20th century. 13" W X 7 1/2" H
This is a Lustre jug with Masonic symbolism and life verse. It is nicely decorated and is in very good condition. The colors are bold with some wear on the rim. Early 19th century. 7 ¼” H X 9 ½” W with handle. SOLD
A Lustre Jug with a deer family and trees. The stag is on one side and the lady and youngster on the other. The top is banded with a flower design. All are in relief. It maintains a collection label under the base. This jug is pictured and described in color in “Old English Lustre Pottery” by W.D. Jones & Dr. Warren Baker, Pages 84 & 85. A Lustre jug with (2) hunting scenes. There are hunters and dogs with the top banded in grape leaves, all in relief. There is some wear of color. It maintains a collection label. First quarter 19th century. 6 5/8” H 7”W including handle.
Here is a 5-gallon crock by T.F. Reppert, Greensboro, PA. Thomas Reppert worked in Greensboro 1884-1890. The top slumps a little, otherwise it is in very good condition. It measures 15” H X 11” W.
A nice pair of working blue bill decoys. Early to mid-20th century. Original paint with lead weights and leather attachment loops. They are possibly from Barnegat Bay, NJ. 14” L X 5 ¼” W X 6 ½” H.
Carved bone snuff box. It has incised and painted basket of fruit on the working lid, and a brass hinge. 19th century. 3" L X 1 5/8" W.
Beaded and hand-stitched with colorful threads, this wall pocket was found in Vermont. It is fully intact including the fringe. Probably made around 1900, it is in great condition and measures 8 ½” X 5 ½”.
This is a fine early 20th century blocked patchwork quilt. Really vibrant colors and excellent condition with virtually no issues. 86" X 72"
Pretty red and blue spatter footed cup and saucer. 19th century. Cup 2 1/4" H X 4" W. Saucer 1 1/4 H X 5 3/4" W.
19th century lantern. Tin & glass with sliding panel door and sun & star punches. C.F. Parker's Patent 1853 & 1855, Boston, MA. Lightly used and very good condition. 12" X 4" X 4 1/2". Ring is 4 1/2".
Set of four apothecary tins in tan paint. Each with a painted lable. The cinnamon tin has the original label from Valentine H. Smith, Second and Green St., Philadelphia. 19th century. Each 9" X 7" X 7".
Cast iron bank in original red and yellow paint. Ca. 1900. 4 1/4" W X 3 1/2" D X 5 1/4" H
